What is Hermes?

Hermes is the market analysis module of Gods Of Sale. It tracks the price, ranking, stock, and campaign movements of products sold on Trendyol, Hepsiburada, and Amazon Turkey; it alerts you when a competitor you have marked makes a change, and produces category-based demand forecasts and opportunity product suggestions. It is built for marketplace sellers in Turkey.

What problem does it solve?

On a marketplace, prices change many times a day. When your competitor cuts their price by 10% in the morning, you usually find out only when you check the evening sales report — by then you have already lost the Buy Box and the day's sales.

The other side of the same problem is product selection. Which category's demand is rising, where competition is saturated, which price range is empty — checking these by hand means opening thousands of products one by one.

Hermes hands both jobs to a scanner that runs continuously: it watches the market for you and alerts you only when a change requires action.

How does Hermes work?

  1. You define the scope. You mark the categories, products, and competitor stores you want to track.
  2. Hermes scans the market. Depending on your subscription, it collects price, ranking, stock status, and campaign information on Trendyol, Hepsiburada, and Amazon TR, hourly or daily.
  3. It filters out the changes. Each scan is compared with the previous one; only meaningful differences (a price cut, stock running out, a new campaign, a ranking jump) turn into an alert.
  4. You get notified. Instant Price Change Alerts appear in your panel and as notifications; the Opportunity Product Hunter and the Category-Based Demand Forecast produce regular suggestion lists from the accumulated data.

What data does it use?

  • Product price and how the price changes over time
  • Ranking position in categories and search results
  • In stock / sold out status
  • Campaign, discount, and badge information
  • Product density and price distribution at the category level
  • Equivalent products across the three marketplaces

All of this data is publicly published information on the marketplaces.

Who is it for?

  • Stores actively selling on Trendyol, Hepsiburada, or Amazon TR
  • Sellers working in categories with intense price competition
  • E-commerce teams doing new product and category research
  • Sellers who sell the same product on multiple channels and want to manage price differences between channels

The difference between manual tracking and Hermes

CoverageAs many products as you can check by eyeAll categories and competitors you mark
FrequencyWhenever you have timeHourly or daily, nonstop
Being aware of price changes Usually after sales have already droppedIn the scan where the change is caught
Historical dataAs much as a manually kept spreadsheetAutomatically accumulated price and ranking history

Limitations: what can Hermes not see?

Knowing what an analysis tool cannot do is as important as knowing what it does. What falls outside Hermes' scope:

  • Competitors' actual sales volume, revenue, and profit margins. This data is only in that store's own panel; no external tool can access it.
  • Competitors' supplier and cost information. You see the price, but you cannot see the cost beneath it.
  • Second-by-second changes. Scan frequency is hourly or daily depending on your plan; a price move made and reverted between two scans may not be recorded.
  • Demand forecasts are not guarantees. The Category-Based Demand Forecast is a probability indicator produced from past movements; it can change due to off-season events, advertising budgets, and marketplace algorithm changes.
  • Your own net profit. Product-level profitability after commission, shipping, and advertising is not handled by Hermes; ProfitPulseit is covered by ProfitPulse.
  • No automatic price changes. Hermes alerts and analyzes; you set the price.

Frequently asked questions

Which marketplaces does Hermes support?

Now we cover Trendyol, Hepsiburada, and Amazon Turkey; global marketplaces such as N11, Çiçeksepeti, eBay, Etsy, and Walmart are on our roadmap. Product, price, and ranking movements across the three marketplaces are gathered in one panel; with the Marketplace Comparison Board, you see the status of the same product across all three channels side by side.

How often is the data updated?

Hourly or daily, depending on your subscription. Hourly scanning lets you catch a competitor's move on the same day in categories where price competition is intense.

Can I see my competitors' actual sales volume?

No. Sales volume, revenue, and profit margins are only in each store's own panel; no external tool can access this data. Hermes tracks publicly published price, ranking, stock status, and campaign information.

How many competitors can I track?

You mark your competitors by category; for every store and product you mark, you receive notifications about changes in price, stock, and campaigns. Coverage depends on your subscription.

Does Hermes change my prices automatically?

No. Hermes is an analysis and alert engine; you make the pricing decisions. When a competitor's price changes, it sends a notification, and you do the repricing yourself.

Does it also calculate my net profit?

No, that is the job of a separate module. ProfitPulse handles product-level net profitability after commission, shipping, and advertising. Hermes looks at the externally visible side of the market, while ProfitPulse looks at your own figures.
