Gods Of Sale E-Commerce Marketplace Report
The Gods Of Sale Market Report is a periodic category report built from price, ranking, and stock data publicly published on Turkish marketplaces. This page explains the report's scope and methodology; findings will appear here when the first issue is published.
Why a market report?
In the Turkish marketplace ecosystem, most sellers cannot see the overall picture of their own category. You know the price movements of your own products, but where the category average is heading and in which sub-segment price competition is hardening remain invisible.
The purpose of the report is to fill this gap: not store-by-store data, but an aggregated and anonymized view at the category level.
Scope: what will the report measure?
Planned sections include: average price change by category, width of price distribution, competition intensity, discount and campaign frequency, stock sell-out tendency, and categories with the highest price volatility.
Each finding will state the measurement period, the number of products covered, and the calculation method. A figure without a stated source and period will not be included in the report.
Methodology
The report is built only from data publicly published on marketplaces: product price, ranking position, stock status, and campaign information. No store's panel-specific data is used.
Measurements are taken at regular intervals throughout the period and aggregated at the category level. Individual store or seller names are not published; the report is not an individual performance assessment.
Sections included in the report
| Section | What it shows | How it is measured |
|---|---|---|
| Average price change | Category price direction | Comparison of period start and end |
| Price distribution | Is there room for positioning | Width of the price range within the category |
| Competition intensity | Difficulty of entering the category | Number of sellers on the same product |
| Discount frequency | Campaign pressure | Share of days with campaigns |
| Stock sell-out tendency | Demand and supply balance | Frequency of transitions to sold-out status |
| Price volatility | Most active categories | Amplitude of change between measurements |
Limitations: what does it not cover?
Applying these with awareness lets you set realistic expectations:
There are no numerical findings on this page yet. No figures will be shared before the first issue is published. Publishing a number without a source and period goes against the purpose of the report.
The report does not measure units sold. Units sold and revenue exist only in each store's own panel; the report relies only on publicly available data.
It is at the category level. Findings are averages; the situation of your own product may differ markedly from the category average.
It looks backward. The report describes the measurement period; it contains no forecasts or guarantees for future periods.
